Old Colony & Fall River Railroad Museum Train Cars & Equipment
This car is a former Pennsylvania Railroad P-70B coach that was built around 1926. This car contains our ticket area, small gift shop and many displays, Including a model train display and N Gauge Layout and kids play room.
This train car is a Rail Diesel Car #1, that was built in 1953. The museum acquired this car in 1990 from the M.B.T.A. This piece of equipment named the "Firestone" by the New Haven Railroad in honor of a manufacturing plant the was located in Fall River, near the present location of the museum.
This piece of equipment is a 40' Boxcar with Super Improved Dreaghnot ends. This car was Built 1945, and acquired by the Museum in 1989 has a display area and a video theater showing Railroad videos. It is believed that this the only remaining car of it's class from the New Haven Railroad.
This car is a former New York Central Caboose #21052. The caboose was Donated to the museum in 1992 by Conrail. The museum volunteers hope to restore the caboose back to New York Central colors. |
